Choosing the Right Hair Color
Coloring your hair can be a fun and interesting way to reinvent your look and make you feel beautiful, however, when you start looking at shades, you may soon find that the choices can be overwhelming. From warm hues to cool colors, there are plenty of options when it comes to hair color. However, if you want to get the best look to compliment your skin and eyes, then it may be best for you to examine which category you fall into: warm or cool.
Cool people tend to have eye colors that are deep brown, gray blue, darker blue, or hazel with blue flecks and typically have skin tones that are dark brown, true olive, medium with faint or no pink in the cheeks, medium with golden undertones, pale, or brown when tan. When choosing a hair color for this type, the best thing to keep in mind is to choose colors that won’t make you look sallow. Hair colors that will work best are dark blacks, cool ash browns, cool blondes and icy white. Highlights should be wheat, honey, taupe or ash shades. Also, if you want to get wild and crazy, this skin and eye type will work best with bold shades like wine colored or bold reds and purples.
Now, if your eyes are golden brown, green, turquoise, or hazel with gold flecks and your skin is either brown with pink undertones, brown with gold undertones, pale with peach undertones, freckled, or ruddy, then you’re most likely a warm person. Warm color types work best with hair in shades of darks, warm browns, chestnuts, rich golden browns, auburns, golden blonds, reds, or coppers. Avoid hair colors that are ash based and can make your skin look washed out.
